DLR Group Integrates Conran and Partners, Expands to Asia, Europe
The integration establishes DLR Group's first European studio in London and expands its luxury hospitality and residential design services across global markets, including Asia.

Design Firms Combine Operations
DLR Group has announced the integration of Conran and Partners, an interior design and architecture studio based in London and Hong Kong. This move establishes DLR Group's initial European studio in London. The Hong Kong studio of Conran and Partners will also continue its operations under the DLR Group umbrella.
Conran and Partners brings a team of 75 design professionals, recognized for their work on luxury hotels and resorts, branded residences, high-end residential developments, and specialized workplace and retail environments for international clients.
Expanded Global Reach for DLR Group
Steven McKay, CEO of DLR Group, stated that the integration enhances their firm's capabilities in luxury design. This expansion is aimed at serving clients in the premium market segments across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States.
The addition of Conran and Partners is intended to bring a specific level of design craft that DLR Group seeks for its high-end projects, broadening its service offerings in key global regions.
New Opportunities for Conran and Partners
For Conran and Partners, the integration provides access to DLR Group's extensive global network, opening avenues for larger-scale design opportunities in hospitality, mixed-use, residential, and workplace sectors. It also facilitates entry into the US market.
The studio's five partners—Tim Bowder-Ridger, Katy Clarke, Sebastian Conran, Simon Kincaid, and Tina Norden—will maintain their roles as Principals, overseeing operations in both the London and Hong Kong offices. Additionally, all 75 design professionals at Conran and Partners will have the option to become employee-owners through DLR Group's stock purchase program.
Consequences for Asia's Design Market
The integration significantly expands DLR Group's footprint in Asia through the established Hong Kong studio of Conran and Partners. This means developers, hoteliers, and real estate project managers in the Asia-Pacific region seeking design services for luxury hospitality, branded residences, or high-end residential projects now have access to an expanded resource.
The combined entity offers a blend of global reach and Conran and Partners' specific expertise in the Asian market, potentially streamlining the sourcing process for complex regional projects that require both international standards and localized design understanding. This move provides more options for specifying architects and interior designers in the region.
