User-Centric Manufacturing Theme for 2027 Edition
The 2027 edition introduces the theme "WeMake — Beyond Craft, Toward Care," emphasizing collaboration, technology, and user needs within furniture manufacturing. This theme builds on the 2026 event's focus on the Smart Revolution, shifting the industry's attention from production capacity to creating value for end users.
Organizers highlight the increasing adoption of automated production, precision processing, and artificial intelligence in manufacturing.
Michiel Kruse, managing director of Koelnmesse China, noted Asia's role as a core regional manufacturing hub with robust industrial chains and rapid technology adoption, emphasizing its redefinition of industrial value towards user-centric creation.
The "WeMake" concept promotes collaboration across the industry, from material suppliers to designers, to develop products tailored to user experience.
