Elixrr Industries Starts 1,000 m³ Daily MDF Production in India
Indian wood-based panel producer Elixrr Industries began medium-density fiberboard (MDF) production on 16 August 2026 at its new plant. The facility, supplied by Siempelkamp, features an 8ft by 33.8m ContiRoll Generation 9 press and can produce approximately 1,000 cubic meters of MDF daily.
New MDF Capacity Launched in India
Elixrr Industries, an Indian wood-based panel producer, launched medium-density fiberboard (MDF) production on 16 August 2026. The new greenfield facility, located in India, marks the company's entry into MDF manufacturing. Siempelkamp supplied the plant, which operates an 8ft by 33.8m ContiRoll Generation 9 continuous press.
This press has a maximum production speed of 2,000 millimeters per second. The plant is designed for a daily output of about 1,000 cubic meters of MDF boards. This installation is the fifth of its kind in the Indian market, measured by press length and capacity.
Integrated Production Technology
The Siempelkamp plant integrates several technologies new to the Indian market. These include the Contitherm Neo mat preheater and a cut-to-size system equipped with a Siempelkamp book saw. The wood preparation section incorporates a new chipping line that combines chain and flat belt conveyors for feeding.
A drum chipper forms the core of this chipping line, a technology used in wood-based panel plants worldwide. The plant also features a digital process control system. This AI-based closed-loop solution optimizes press performance and board quality, while working to reduce production costs.
Supply for Furniture and Construction Sectors
Elixrr Industries signed the contract for this plant with Siempelkamp in December 2024. The new production capacity targets India's furniture, interior, and construction sectors. For procurement directors and specifiers in Asia, this new facility adds significant supply volume to the Indian market for MDF boards.
